2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Reviews

Chevy unveiled the redesigned 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 supercar at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, that now looks more aggressive. It will also have an improved supercharged engine that will boost its performance.

New Chevy Z06 Engine and Performance

Before we say something about the new exterior look of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, we will mention some details about its performance, because its specs have left us amazed.


General Motors announced that this Chevy will be powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 LT4 engine that will be able to develop an astounding 625 horsepower and 635 pound-feet of torque. Wow!

There will be a choice of two different transmissions. The LT4 engine will be mated to a 7-speed manual gearbox with Active Rev Match. Other choice include an optional paddle-shift 8-speed automatic transmission (also can be operated in manual mode), that will improve fuel economy and boost Z06’s performance.

Design of 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Now to take a look at the exterior design of this amazing vehicle. As you can see in the photo gallery below, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has a new front splitter, rear spoiler, air ducts around the front wheels, and cool wheels with a new set of tires.

Designers also added a removable carbon-fiber roof panel, an aluminum frame that is now much stronger, and a carbon-fiber hood with a larger air vent that will improve the flow of air and boost its performance on a race track.
One interesting thing is that the designers upgraded wheels, which are now wider comparing to a previous model, and all the other changes come from here, including wider fenders, wider front grille and redesigned rear end, with increased space between the taillights and four exhaust pipes (image below).

There are also two optional kits, aimed at upgrading the outer appearance of the car. The first carbon-fiber aero package will add a brand-new aviation-style front splitter, bigger rear spoiler, and new carbon-fiber rocker panels at both sides of the car.
The second Z07 kit will bring also new front splitter, but with larger winglets, as well as an adjustable see-through center section on the rear spoiler, that gives the car more sportish look.

Interior Styling

And for the end, to say a word or two about the interior. The driver-focused cockpit that will be made mostly of soft-touch materials, such as carbon fiber, aluminium and leather. In front of a driver, there will be a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Potential buyers of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will be able to choose among two seat versions, depending on their needs. The GT seats are meant for all-around comfort, while the Competition Sport seats provides greater support on the track.
Both GT and Competition Sport seats will have a magnesium frame structure to enhance the strength and lower the weight of seats.
As you can see on the image below, there will also be a big touchscreen display. However, we don’t have any information about multimedia system, GPS navigation and other accessories.

2015 Corvette Z06 Release Date and Price

What we do know for sure is that the refreshed 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will be hitting retail stores in early 2015. Its base price starts at $78,995. For the additional Z07 package customers will have to set aside additional $7,995.
