Samsung Malaysia has officially launched its new Galaxy A series, offering a premium design that’s targeted at youth. Available in 4.5″ Galaxy A3 and 5.0″ Galaxy A5,
both models feature a metal frame like the Galaxy Alpha and it comes in
a sleeky unibody design. The Galaxy A3 is officiailly priced at RM899
while its Galaxy A5 model is priced at RM1,199.
The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are similar underneath with a 1.2GHz
Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor that’s mated with 2GB RAM (1GB RAM
for A3) and 16GB storage. It is also good to know that the storage is
also expandable via microSD up to 64GB capacity. For faster connectivity
both models support 4G LTE and comes with a single nano-SIM slot.
Differentiating the two is the screen, cameras and battery. The
Galaxy A3 has a 4.5″ qHD (960×540) Super AMOLED display, 8MP main camera
and a 1,900mAh capacity battery. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A5 gets a 5.0″
HD 720 (1280×720) Super AMOLED display, 13MP main camera and a larger
2,300mAh. For the selfie fans, both models get 5MP front facing camera
with wide selfie and beautification features. In terms of dimensions,
the Galaxy A5 is only 6.7mm thick, which is as thin s the Galaxy Alpha
while the Galaxy A3 is slightly thicker at 6.9mm.
The Galaxy A series is available at Samsung Centres and authorised
dealers, and it comes with a choice of 4 colours – Champagne Gold,
Midnight Black, Platinum SIlver and Pearl White.
