Two children and an adult died after a caravan caught fire in Surrey, police said on Tuesday.
A man and another child were also treated for burns following the incident at The Plantation mobile home site in West Park Road in Newchapel.A Surrey Police spokesman said: "Surrey Police is currently in attendance at the scene of a fatal fire at a mobile home site in Newchapel.
"Police were called to the site, off West Park Road, at around 1.45am today following reports that a mobile home was on fire.
"Sadly three people, believed to be an adult and two children, have been declared dead at the scene.
"A man and another child were also treated for burn injuries at the location and the child has since been taken to East Surrey Hospital.
"Surrey Police and Surrey Fire and Rescue units are currently at the scene, which remains cordoned off while inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the fire continue."
The scene was cordoned off as the police and the fire service launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
