AutoenGadget.com - The Real Madrid defender has emphasised the
importance of the team's hard work in winning individual awards and has
hailed Carlo Ancelotti's influence
The Portuguese star has been in supreme form so far this season, having led Carlo Ancelotti's side to the Champions League last term, but endured a poor World Cup with Portugal.
Neuer ended up a champion in Brazil and Messi led Argentina to the final but Ramos has believes that his team-mate is the best candidate for the award.
"Cristiano deserves the Ballon d'Or," he told Marca.
"He's a born winner and does not like losing. He wants to win everything. As a friend, I know that I'd be happy for him.
"Of course, we would all like to be recognised as the best. I know that this has been my best year and I can boast winning four titles and being up there.
"These awards come from collective work. Football is a team sport and this one is making history.
"I think this team has no limit. It's more than a group of players. I am proud to have these team-mates. The individual triumphs come fron the hand of team work."
Ramos went on to hail the effect Ancelotti has had on the team since taking over from Jose Mourinho in the summer of 2013.
"Ancelotti is unique, he's done an amazing job in the dressing room. Madrid have recovered their joy. He understands players.
"We are delighted. He's a good coach and a good person."
